Are you prepared for the HSE’s Dust Buster campaign this June?
If you answered yes, then congrats! We are like a proud parent on the first day of school when we see you keeping on top of your dust extraction responsibilities on site.
If you aren’t prepared? Do not panic, we have got you covered with info and some tips below!
What is the Dust Buster campaign?
Last October the HSE ran an initiative called the Dust Buster campaign, also known as the health inspection initiative, where they visited constructions sites around the UK.
The purpose of the initiative was to ensure that construction and trade professionals were employing the right dust extraction and respiratory protection controls and protecting themselves from potential risks.
When is it taking place?
This time round the HSE are working in close partnership with key supporters and partners to make sure that the #WorkRight message makes it even further.
Running from the 17th June to the 12th of July HSE inspectors will be looking to ensure those involved with construction projects are following the key messages of ‘know the risks’, ‘plan your work’ and ‘use the right controls’.
So what kit and controls could you need on site?
We don’t want to sit here and teach you the basics, as industry professionals you know your stuff, but what we can offer is a range of well-priced extractors suited to a range of environments.
What about Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaners?
We like to think that our MINI PLUS offers a pretty good choice for smaller HEPA rated requirements, but we also know that there are other brands out there that will better suit you as the customer, so do your research and if you would like some impartial advice then feel free to pick up the phone, we love a good chat!
Keep on keeping on, until next time.
