The world of dust extraction vacuums may seem pretty straight forward, as long as it sucks up dust and debris and doesn’t cost the earth then it’s good, right?… Well kind of.
When it comes to rating you have three main choices; L, M and H class rated extraction.
Our entry level is the L class rated extraction, filtering up to 99% of particulates and exhausting less than 1% of extracted dust back into the atmosphere.
Now we’re talking! The M class rated extraction vacuum is your go to for most sites and offer 99.9% filtration efficiency.
For the more hazardous areas the H class extraction vacuum is your best bet in protecting you and your lung health. 99.995% extraction efficiency and more likely to be used in asbestos or RCS contaminated areas.
Check a more in depth breakdown here.
So you’ve decided on the rating best suited for your environment and filtration needs, now comes that all important question.
Most equipment retailers will offer a great choice of tank and bag capacities, so it really is personal preference that determines this one.
Smaller 15 litre tanks for those domestic jobs through to massive capacity industrial vacuums (keep your eyes peeled), select a vacuum that is going to grow with you where needed, and save yourself from having to purchase a new one when the jobs start rolling in!
We understand that most can’t shell out for equipment on a whim, and making a purchase like this is a big commitment, so when it comes to extraction vacuums be sure to do your pricing research!
Cheap as chips, the mid-range superheroes, or daddy warbucks high flyer investments, there will be a vacuum on the market that matches your resources. (And some great deals going on no doubt!)
The Nitty Gritty
Aside from the basics, we could spend hours talking to you about the accessory and bundle options that your dust extraction vacuum could come with or the things to keep in mind such as the functionality and portability (like transporting in your van!), but we’ll just say if you would like to chat through we are more than happy to chat through impartially to give you the best advice.
